Novo gets U.S. approval for PrandiMet

COPENHAGEN, June 24 (Reuters) - Denmark's Novo Nordisk (NOVOb.CO) said on Tuesday it had received approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for PrandiMet, a fixed-dose combination of an insulin and an insulin sensitiser for type 2 diabetes.

The world's biggest maker of insulin said in a statement PrandiMet was approved as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycaemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes. (Reporting by Kim McLaughlin; editing by Sue Thomas)
