Genmab says gets $5.6 mln milestone payment from Glaxo

COPENHAGEN, Oct 10 (Reuters) - Danish biotech firm Genmab (GEN.CO) said on Friday it received a $5.6 million milestone payment from partner GlaxoSmithKline (GSK.L) for treating the first patient in a Phase I study for its drug HuMax-CD20.

The drug, also known as ofatumumab, is an antibody being developed for the treatment of relapsed/refractory follicular non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and chronic lymphocytic leukemia, among other ailments. (Reporting by Gelu Sulugiuc; Editing by Quentin Bryar)
