Zentiva accepts higher Sanofi takeover offer

PARIS, Sept 22 (Reuters) - French drugmaker Sanofi-Aventis (SASY.PA) said on Monday that Czech generics drugs maker Zentiva ZNTVsp.PR had accepted a higher takeover offer from Sanofi that valued Zentiva at around 1.8 billion euros ($2.6 billion).

Sanofi said it had raised its offer to 1,150 Czech crowns per share.
