EU clears Arrow's buy of server distributor Logix
BRUSSELS, May 19 (Reuters) - U.S. electronic components supplier Arrow Electronics (ARW.N: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) won permission from the European Commission on Monday to buy Logix, a value-added distributor of software and hardware products.
Logix is owned by Groupe OPEN (OPEN.PA: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) of France and has about 500 employees in 11 European countries with activities notably in France, the Benelux region, Poland, Spain, the Nordics, Israel and Morocco.
"The Commission's investigation has shown that the concentration would not significantly impede effective competition in the European Economic Area or any substantial part of it," the EU executive said in a statement. (Reporting by David Lawsky; Editing by Dale Hudson)
