Thai Berli Jucker sets 3-year bond coupon
BANGKOK, March 14 (Reuters) - Thai manufacturer Berli Jucker PCL BJC.BK has set a coupon of 3.73 percent for a bond issue worth up to 3.5 billion baht ($111 million) due to be sold next week, an official at an underwriter said on Friday.
The coupon on the 3-year bonds, rated "A+" by Thailand's TRIS Rating, offered a spread of 65 basis points over comparable government bonds, the bank official, who declined to be named, told Reuters.
Benchmark three-year government bonds yielded at 3.10 percent on Thursday.
The bonds would be offered both institutional investors and retail investors and would open be for subscription on March 20, 21 and 24, the official said.
The proceeds of the bonds, underwritten by top bond underwriters Kasikornbank KBAN.BK and Bangkok Bank BBL.BK, would be used to fund investment and for working capital.
Berli Jucker makes packaging and distributes glass and rigid plastic containers.
On Thursday, shares in Berli Jucker closed unchanged at 6.75 baht, while the overall stock market fell 1.53 percent. ($1=31.45 Baht) (Reporting by Arada Therdthammakun; Editing by Michael Battye)
