India's Bharat Heavy wins $50.4 mln ONGC contract

MUMBAI, Feb 14 (Reuters) - Indian state-run engineering firm Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL.BO: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) said on Thursday it had won a 2-billion-rupee ($50.4 million) contract for supplying oil field equipment to Oil and Natural Gas Corp (ONGC.BO: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz).

The contract duration is of three years, BHEL said in a statement. ($1 = 39.7 Indian rupees) (Reporting by Hiral Vora; Editing by Ranjit Gangadharan)
