MUMBAI, Dec 14 (Reuters) - Indian power producer Reliance Energy Ltd RLEN.BO said on Friday its board had approved raising up to 50 billion rupees ($1.3 billion) by way of foreign currency convertible bonds overseas. ($1 = 39.4 Indian rupees) (Reporting by Hiral Vora; Editing by Ranjit Gangadharan)
