HONG KONG, Aug 14 (Reuters) - Jiangxi Copper Co (0358.HK) (600362.SS), the top integrated copper producer in China, has been asked by local authorities to cut power consumption amid shortages in Jiangxi province, board secretary Pan Qifang said on Thursday.

"We will cut the production of semi-finished products by 20-30 percent in August," Pan told Reuters. The company has an annual capacity of 370,000 tonnes of semis.

Jiangxi Copper would try to maintain normal production of refined copper, he said.
