China Jiangxi copper to shut 300,000 tonnes of cap

HONG KONG, Jan 31 (Reuters) - China's top integrated copper producer Jiangxi Copper Co Ltd (0358.HK) (600362.SS) will shut down 300,000 tonnes of smelting capacity within two to three days due to power shortages, company sources said on Thursday.

That capacity is 43 percent of Jiangxi Copper's total smelting capacity of 700,000 tonnes a year.
