Zijin terminates talks to buy Kazakhstan gold firm
HONG KONG, July 10 (Reuters) - Zijin Mining (2899.HK) (601899.SS), China's largest listed gold company, on Friday said it has terminated share acquisition talks with a Kazakhstan gold company.
Zijing Mining gave no reason for the termination.
Company chairman Chen Jinghe said in the statement that Zijin was in active pursuit of resources overseas and had made initial investigations into various overseas projects, although no agreements had been signed.
