Coal miner Rio Tinto (RIO.AX)(RIO.L) on Friday filed a suit against the regional government of Morowali in Central Sulawesi after they granted mining rights to local firms in an area Rio Tinto said is still the subject of ongoing negotiations between the mining giant and the central government.
