PUTRAJAYA, Malaysia, May 16 (Reuters) - Malaysia's top lawyer has been instructed to investigate allegations made against certain individuals during a recent judicial-appointments inquiry, Law Minister Zaid Ibrahim said on Friday.

Zaid, in promising to release findings of the royal commission of inquiry, did not name the individuals who would be the focus of the attorney-general's investigations. The office of the attorney-general decides whether to launch prosecutions.

"The cabinet agrees for the attorney-general's chambers to institute immediate investigations of all allegations levelled against individuals identified in the report," he said in a statement.
