- Kijal state assemblyman Ahmad Said says he is the legitimate Terengganu chief minister and will step into his office at Wisma Darul Iman on Tuesday to officially assume his role.

- The oil palm industry is pushing hard to abolish the special cess on oil palm plantation estate owners to subsidise the price of cooking oil imposed in June 2007 and also the cess on crude palm oil price stabilisation fund imposed in 2001.

- Lembaga Tabung Haji said it wants to take a second look at its investments in the stock market to manage exposure should the market turn bearish.

- Unlike previous years, investors are not expecting much "goodies" from Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi at the Invest Malaysia Conference starting on Tuesday.
