Rexel has 100 mln euros for add-ons in 2008-paper
AMSTERDAM, March 3 (Reuters) - French electrical engineering group Rexel (RXL.PA) has around 100 million euros ($152 million) available this year for acquisitions, its chief executive told Dutch paper Financieele Dagblad.
In an interview published on Monday CEO Jean-Charles Pauze said Rexel's strong cash flow ensured the company could recover quickly from outlays for acquisitions, and it would look for small add-ons.
Last November, Rexel and Sonepar, the world's two biggest electrical parts distributors, clinched a 3.13 billion-euro deal to buy and split smaller Dutch rival Hagemeyer HAGN.AS.
With the acquisition, Rexel's global market share will grow to 9 percent from 7 percent in a highly fragmented market, the paper said.
Asked about potential synergy benefits from the deal Pauze said he expected to see savings worth around 1.3-1.5 percent of Rexel's sales.
Rexel will mainly take control of Hagemeyer's European businesses while Sonepar will take over the Dutch firm's Asian and U.S. operations. (Reporting by Alexandra Hudson; Editing by Quentin Bryar)
