Kazakhstan Jan-Nov copper output falls 6.0 pct
ALMATY, Dec 13 (Reuters) - Kazakhstan's refined copper output fell 6.0 percent year-on-year to 363,434 tonnes in the January-November 2007, the statistics agency said on Thursday.
It said zinc production fell 2.0 percent to 326,834 tonnes, while alumina output fell 8.3 percent to 1.413 million tonnes in the same period.
Kazakhstan's biggest copper producer is London-listed Kazakhmys (KAZ.L).
Zinc is produced by Kazzinc, owned by Switzerland-based trading company Glencore, and alumina by Alyumini Kazakhstan ALKZ.KZ, part of the Eurasian Industrial Association majority owned by billionaire Alexander Mashkevich and two partners. (Editing by Peter Blackburn)
