RIYADH, July 1 (Reuters) - European aerospace group EADS EADS.PA and a Saudi partner have won a deal to secure the Saudi air, sea and land border worth billions of Saudi riyals, an official at the local partner said on Wednesday.

"It was signed last night," the official at Al-Rasheed Trading & Contracting Co told Reuters, speaking on condition of anonymity.

The deal covers the rest of the Saudi land border after the consortium already won a contract covering the northern border to Iraq and now also includes the air and sea borders, the official said.

EADS in Saudi Arabia could not be reached for comment and there was no immediate Saudi government comment. (Reporting by Ulf Laessing; editing by Simon Jessop)
