HELSINKI, March 18 (Reuters) - Nexans (NEXS.PA) has won a deal worth 150 million euros ($237 million) from Finland's and Sweden's national grid operators for a subsea cable between the two countries, Finnish grid said on Tuesday.

The link is set to boost transmission capacity between Finland and Sweden by 800 megawatts, or about 40 percent, and is set to go live in late 2011, Fingrid said in a statement.

The new connection is 270 kilometres (168 miles) long, with the sea cable being about 200 kilometres. (Reporting by Tarmo Virki and Sami Torma)
