Aquarius Platinum says Q4 output fell marginally
LONDON, July 24 (Reuters) - South Africa-focused metals miner Aquarius Platinum (AQPJ.J)(AQP.L)(AQP.AX) said on Thursday that fourth-quarter mine production fell marginally after it was hurt by industrial relations problems.
Attributable production in the period fell to 109,863 platinum group metal (PGM) ounces, it said. Annual group PGM production was in line with its revised target at 500,203 ounces, it added.
"Production during the quarter was hampered by industrial relations issues at our operations," Chief Executive Stuart Murray said in a statement in Australia.
"This situation necessitated significant intervention and activism by management."
Aquarius has most of its operations in South Africa and is listed on stock exchanges in Johannesburg, Sydney and London. (Reporting by Hsu Chuang Khoo, editing by Will Waterman)
