RLPC-ACS unit Urbaser seeks to extend loan-bankers
LONDON, Nov 5 (Reuters) - Spanish waste management firm Urbaser, part of infrastructure to services group ACS (ACS.MC), is asking its lenders to extend the maturity of a 650 million-euro ($958.4 million) loan by another two years, two bankers said on Thursday.
The loan extension will be done as a forward start, where borrowers can typically lock in loans ahead of maturity in exchange for an increase in margins and fees.
Urbaser is expected to launch the loan to syndication over the coming week via arrangers Banco Popular, Banco Santander, Banesto, Barclays, BBVA, BNP Paribas, Caja Madrid, La Caixa, and Societe Generale, according to one of the bankers.
A company spokesman could not immeditately be reached for comment.
The company last tapped the European syndicated loan market for a 650 million euro, five year loan in 2005, according to Thomson Reuters LPC data, that paid a margin of 35 basis points over EURIBOR.
