Russia signs $1bln uranium deals with US companies
MOSCOW, May 26 (Reuters) - Russia signed $1 billion worth of deals on Tuesday to supply uranium to U.S. companies from 2014.
Russia's Techsnabexport (Tenex) signed the deal with Fuelco, a company founded by by Californian utility Pacific Gas and Electric Co, a unit of PG&E Corp (PCG.N), Luminant and United Electric Co.
"We worked for over 5 years to make this happen. This fuel will provide energy for 5 million American homes," Fuelco President Bruce Hamilton told reporters in Moscow after the signing. (Reporting by Guy Faulconbridge, editing by Melissa Akin)
