US missile hits spy satellite -Pentagon source
WASHINGTON, Feb 20 (Reuters) - A missile fired from a U.S. Navy warship hit a defunct spy satellite in an effort to prevent its toxic fuel tank from crashing to Earth, a Pentagon source said on Wednesday.
"The missile's been launched and (it was) a successful intercept," the source said. (Reporting by Andrew Gray; Editing by Peter Cooney)
