REC signs $300 mln wafer deal with U.S. Suniva

OSLO, June 25 (Reuters) - Norwegian solar industry group Renewable Energy Corp (REC.OL) said on Wednesday it had secured a contract worth more than $300 million to supply silicon wafers to U.S. company Suniva Inc.

"Under the agreement, REC will until 2013 deliver wafers worth more than $300 million," REC said in a statement.

REC's shares were up 5.5 percent to 143.5 crowns after the annoucement. (Reporting by Wojciech Moskwa)
