Fire at Swedish nuclear plant Ringhals -fire brigade
STOCKHOLM, July 11 (Reuters) - A fire broke out on Friday on the roof of a turbine facility at Sweden's Ringhals nuclear plant but is now under control, a spokesman at the Swedish rescue services said.
"It's ... a fire on the roof of one of the turbine facilities at Ringhals 2," said Fredrik Akesson, fire engineer at the fire brigade in Varberg.
"I would say it's under control," he said.
A Vattenfall spokesman said there was an alarm because of smoke from work being done on the roof of the turbine facility but that any fire had been extinguished.
Ringhals is owned 70 percent by state-owned Vattenfall and 30 percent by German utility E.ON.
