UPDATE 1-Hyundai Mipo wins $315 mln ship orders

SEOUL, May 21 (Reuters) - South Korea's Hyundai Mipo Dockyard Co Ltd (010620.KS) said on Wednesday it had secured a combined 330.7 billion won ($314.9 million) in orders from Europe and Asia to build bulk carriers.

Hyundai Mipo said in a filing to the Korea Exchange that it had won a 248.9 billion won order from Europe to build six bulk carriers, which would be delivered by Oct. 31, 2011.

The shipbuilder also said in a separate filing that it had received an order from Asia to build two bulk carriers for 81.8 billion won.

The two ships are scheduled to be delivered by Feb. 2011. ($1=1050.2 Won) (Reporting by Cheon Jong-woo; Editing by Ken Wills)
