Singapore Air says no plans to renew China Eastern bid
SINGAPORE, Feb 18 (Reuters) - Singapore Airlines (SIAL.SI: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz), the world's second-biggest airline by stock market value, said on Monday its offer to buy a stake in China Eastern Airlines (600115.SS: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) was still on the table, but said it had no plans to renew its bid for the mainland carrier.
"We have no plans," said Chew Choon Seng, chief executive of Singapore Airlines said in response to a question on whether Singapore Airlines will renew its bid.
"Our offer is still on the table and we have said it is fair and full value," Chew told reporters. (Reporting by Jan Dahinten and Melanie Lee)
