India's Punj Lloyd unit wins $282 mln S'pore contract

SINGAPORE, Feb 14 (Reuters) - Sembawang Engineers and Constructors, a unit of India's Punj Lloyd Ltd (PUJL.BO: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz), said on Thursday it has been awarded a S$400 million ($282 million) contract to build part of the Marina Bay Sands integrated resort in Singapore.

The project, which starts this month and is slated for completion in April 2009, comprises the resort's casino, theatres and retail arcade, Sembawang said in a statement.
