Japan's Kansai restarts nuke unit after lightning
TOKYO, Nov 20 (Reuters) - Kansai Electric Power Co (9503.T) said on Thursday that it restarted the 500-megawatt No.2 nuclear generator at its Mihama nuclear power plant after the unit shut down automatically earlier in the day when lightning hit the facility.
The 340-megawatt No.1 unit at the same facility in western Japan, which also automatically shut down when lightning struck, could be restarted as early as Friday, the utility said in a statement. (Reporting by James Topham)
