SINGAPORE, Feb 20 (Reuters) - Brazilian planemaker Embraer (EMBR3.SA) said on Wednesday that U.S. plane leasing firm Jetscape is buying 10 Embraer E190 jets in a deal potentially worth $1.125 billion at list prices.
Jetscape has options to buy another 10, Embraer said at the Singapore Airshow.
Deliveries of the jets, which can be fitted with up to 122 seats, are scheduled to begin in mid-2009.
Speaking to reporters in a conference call, Jetscape Chief Executive John Evans said the new planes would most likely be leased to airlines outside the United States.
Fort Lauderdale-based Jetscape was founded in 2000 and owns and manages 18 planes with 11 airlines. (Reporting by Jan Dahinten and Ovais Subhani, editing by Neil Chatterjee)
