SYDNEY, Jan 15 (Reuters) - Allegiance Mining Ltd AGM.AX, target of a hostile bid from fellow Australian Zinifex Ltd ZFX.AX, upgraded its nickel resource estimate for its Avebury mining project in Tasmania by 10 percent.
The increase takes the resource 14,000 tonnes higher to 172,000 tonnes, Allegiance said in a statement on Tuesday. (Reporting by James Regan)
