Australia's Harvey Norman 28-day sales up 0.5 pct

SYDNEY, Dec 2 (Reuters) - Australian retailer Harvey Norman Holdings Ltd (HVN.AX) said like-for-like sales for the 28 days to Nov. 30 rose 0.5 percent compared to the same period last year as retail margins continued to come under pressure.

The rise followed a fall of 0.8 percent in the 28 days to Nov. 16.

The furniture and electricals retailer reported a 0.6 percent decline in sales in the 28 days to Nov. 2, a drop of 3.6 percent in the 28 days to Oct. 26 and a fall of 5.8 percent in the same period to Oct. 19. (Reporting by Jonathan Standing)
