TOKYO, March 4 (Reuters) - A fire broke out at Kansai Electric Power Co's (9503.T: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) Himeji No.2 thermal power station but was put out within 20 minutes, said Japan's second-biggest utility on Tuesday.
Three workers were injured and taken to hospital, the utility said in a statement.
The fire broke out at 11:05 a.m. (0205 GMT) inside the turbine building of the 325-megawatt No.3 generator at the Himeji No.2 plant, and was extinguished by 11:23 a.m. The natural gas-fired No.3 unit had been shut for planned inspection when the fire occurred.
