TOKYO, May 1 (Reuters) - Japanese staffing service firm United Technology Holdings Co Ltd (2146.Q) said on Thursday it has abandoned plans for a capital and business tie-up with bigger rival Goodwill Group Inc (4723.T).

After acquiring a 30 percent stake in Goodwill in March, United Technology had been seeking a partnership with it.

But United Technology said it had given up the plans after the Goodwill management informed that it would terminate alliance talks. (Reporting by Taiga Uranaka)
