Rolls-Royces says China Airlines signs engine deal

LONDON, Jan 22 (Reuters) - British engine maker Rolls-Royce Group Plc (RR.L) said on Tuesday Taiwan's China Airlines Ltd (2610.TW) had signed a contract for Trent XWB engines to power 14 Airbus A350 XWB aircraft, with an option on six more.

"The potential value of the business, which includes a long-term TotalCare services agreement, is $1.3 billion at engine list prices. Deliveries begin in 2015," Rolls-Royce said in a statement. (Reporting by Dan Lalor)
