Pope Resources says '08 timber harvest to reduce by 33 pct
Dec 12 (Reuters) - Pope Resources POPEZ.O said it planned to reduce 2008 timber harvest volume by 33 percent.
This reduction in volume is planned in response to expected soft prices for logs in the coming year as the slowdown in housing starts has curtailed demand for solid wood products, the company added. (Reporting by Purwa Khandelwal in Bangalore; editing by Anil D'Silva)
