THE STRAITS TIMES - Singapore must guard against a second round of inflation, which could happen if wages are raised to keep pace with price increases, Finance Minister Tharman Shanmugaratnam said.

- The alleged middleman named in the recent controversy involving Singapore's first illegal transplant cases has been arrested by the police.

- Singapore is revamping its pro-creation policies and could be going the Swedish way, giving free childcare and paternity leave in a bid to get couples to have more babies.

- Over half of 500 people surveyed say they had been sexually harassed at the workplace in Singapore.

- ComfortDelGro (CMDG.SI) operator of the world's second-largest bus and taxi fleet, has signed an initial agreement to buy Australian bus builder Custom Coaches to expand its overseas business.

- The surging rents in prime areas look to be easing, with some condos already registering falls of up to 12 per cent.

- A new trading platform that will allow investors in Singapore to buy and sell carbon credits for the first time was launched.
