MUMBAI, July 13 (Reuters) - Bharti Airtel (BRTI.BO), India's top mobile operator, added 2.82 million mobile users in June to take its total subscribers to 102.4 million, data from the Cellular Operators Association of India showed.

Total mobile subscribers based on the GSM technology in the country rose by 8.89 million users in June to 315.78 million, the data showed.

Bharti and South Africa's MTN (MTNJ.J) are in exclusive talks over a complex deal that could lead to a full merger, creating the world's No. 3 wireless group with more than 200 million subscribers and combined revenue of $20 billion.
