NEW YORK, July 10 (Reuters) - UBS (UBSN.VX) has talked to Robert McCann, former head of Merrill Lynch & Co's brokerage, and Sallie Krawcheck, previously at Citigroup Inc (C.N), about joining its wealth management business, the Wall Street Journal reported on Friday.

McCann has the "inside track", CNBC later reported, adding that talks with Krawcheck have ended.

The Swiss bank has not yet decided whether it will add an executive to the business, according to the WSJ.

McCann left Merrill in January shortly after Bank of America Corp (BAC.N) acquired the brokerage and investment bank.

A UBS spokesman declined to comment. (Reporting by Elinor Comlay)
