Nikkei up 2.3 pct, exporters rise on weaker yen

TOKYO, June 16 (Reuters) - Japan's Nikkei stock average rose 2.3 percent on Monday, as exporters such as Kyocera Corp (6971.T) climbed on a weaker yen and after U.S. data eased concerns on Wall Street about inflation and a near-term rise in interest rates.

The market's gain picked up pace in the afternoon, partly buoyed by rises in other Asian markets.

As of 0334 GMT, the benchmark Nikkei .N225 was up 324.67 points at 14,298.40, after having lost 3.6 percent last week.

The broader Topix climbed 1.6 percent to 1,393.32. (Reporting by Taiga Uranaka)
