SEOUL, July 2 (Reuters) - Taiwan's Formosa Petrochemical Corp (6505.TW) has shut down its 84,000 barrels per day (bpd) gasoline-making residual fluid catalytic cracker (RFCC) for a 10-day maintenance, a regional gasoline buyer said on Wednesday.

Late last month, the company had said it was planning a two-week turnaround in early July due to a leakage, although the unit's technical glitch was not severe. [ID:nSP20796]

Formosa had said exports for July loading will not be affected as stocks are sufficient, but losses of gasoline output are unavoidable.

Around 55 percent of the RFCC's production is gasoline, and the rest is propylene feedstocks. (Reporting by Angela Moon; Editing by Keiron Henderson)
