JOHANNESBURG, July 13 (Reuters) - South African's Chamber of Mines raised its wage hike offer to mineworkers from 9 percent to 9.5 percent on Monday but the offer may not be enough to avert a strike, the National Union of Mineworkers said.

"That is definitely not enough and we'll have to take this through to our members to decide whether we'll need to get a certificate ... which will enable us to strike," NUM spokesman Lesiba Seshoka said.
