- United States President George W. Bush has vowed to "seek an end to tyranny" in Myanmar and called on the regime to free democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi, according to a copy of a speech he will deliver in Bangkok (BANGKOK POST)

- Bush praised Thailand as a regional leader and saluted the Kingdom for humanitarian assistance to neighbouring Myanmar (THE NATION)

- Thailand and Cambodia must bury the hatchet in their dispute over the 900-year-old Preah Vihear temple, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen said, further easing fears the spat would escalate into military confrontation (BANGKOK POST)

- Thaksin Shinawatra has a tentative plan to sell Manchester City, a year after he bought the premiership football club, the UK Daily Mail said on its website (BANGKOK POST)
