 PARIS - Auction of BTF treasury bills (1350 GMT). The French
treasury will auction 1.5 billion euros of 9-week BTFs, 5.0
billion euros of 12-week BTFs, 2.0 billion euros of 23-week BTFs
and 2.0 billion euros of 49-week BTFs.
 BERLIN, Germany - President Nicolas Sarkozy attends ceremony
to mark the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall.

 RYADH, Saudi Arabia - Start of a 2-day official visit by
President Nicolas Sarkozy (to Nov. 18).
 PARIS - Second auction of art works belonging to Yves Saint
Laurent and his companion and business partner, Pierre Berge (to
Nov. 19). The first art sale, held in February, raised more than
370 million euros ($555.2 million). Proceeds from both sales
will be donated to AIDS research.

 PARIS - Paris court rules on the appeal by oil giant Total
against the verdict in its trial over the Erika oil tanker
diasaster. Total was found guilty of negligence after the tanker
sank off the French Atlantic coast in 1999, causing major
environmental damage.
