ATHENS, Nov 5 (Reuters) - Greece's OTE (OTEr.AT), southeast Europe's biggest telecoms company, said on Thursday third-quarter net profit fell 19 percent year-on-year, broadly in line with expectations, on lower revenues from fixed and mobile telephony operations.

OTE, which is 30-percent owned by Deutsche Telekom (DTEGn.DE), said net profit came at 163.1 million euros ($240.5 million), versus an average forecast of 164.8 million in a Reuters poll of analysts.

Third-quarter sales fell 7.4 percent to 1.52 billion euros, slightly below analysts' average 1.54 billion euros forecast. The company reiterated a guidance for 2009 full-year group profitability roughly in line with 2008. ($1=.6782 Euro) (Reporting by Harry Papachristou; Editing by Ingrid Melander)
