JAKARTA, July 31 (Reuters) - PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk (TLKM.JK), Indonesia's largest telecommunications firm, reported a 4.9 percent fall in first-half net profit on Thursday, despite strong growth in mobile phone subscribers.

State-controlled Telkom, Indonesia's biggest listed firm with a market value of $17.5 billion, said its January-June net profit fell to 6.3 trillion rupiah ($690.9 million) from 6.6 trillion a year ago, missing analyst forecasts of about 6.7 trillion rupiah.
