FRANKFURT, May 18 (Reuters) - The head of German operations for private equity group Permira [PERM.UL] has ruled out a sale of ProSiebenSat.1's (PSMG_p.DE: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) TV channel Sat.1, a magazine reported on Sunday.

"From our point of view that makes no sense. Sat.1 will not be sold," Joerg Rockenhaeuser was quoted as saying by Focus magazine.

ProSiebenSat.1 is majority owned by private equity firms KKR [KKR.UL] and Permira.

Pay TV group Premiere (PREGn.DE: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) Chief Executive Michael Boernicke said last week that acquiring Sat.1 would make sense but was not on the agenda in the coming six months.

Boernicke had announced his interest in Sat.1 last month, but ProSiebenSat.1 said at the time the channel was not for sale. (Reporting by Michael Shields; Editing by Jason Neely) (michael.shields@thomsonreuters.com, Reuters Messaging: michael.shields.reuters.com@reuters.net; +49 69 7565 1266))
