GENERAL AND POLITICS

- The government launched a national campaign for the reopening of two units of Bulgaria's Kozloduy nuclear plant, saying there were closed on political and not safety reasons (Trud, Dnevnik, 24 Chasa, Pari, Sega, Standart, Klasa, Duma).

- Construction Minister Asen Gagauzov said he opposed the privatisation of construction company Technoeksportstroy and gas utility Bulgargaz, as they were involved in oil pipeline Burgas-Alexandroupolis (Dnevnik, 24 Chasa, Klasa).

ECONOMY

- Bulgaria ranks fifth among the preferred seaside destinations in Germany, an analysis by German tourism magazine Urlaub Perfekt shows (Trud, Dnevnik, 24 Chasa).

BUSINESS

- Dominant telecoms operator BTC BTCC.BB agreed to admit other operators to use its broadband network and provide services under the ADSL standard, the company said (Dnevnik, Pari, Sega, Standart, Klasa).

DNEVNIK - Greek retailer Marinopoulos signed a franchise contract to distribute clothing labels GAP and Banana Republic in Bulgaria and four other countries in the region, attire company GAP said.

- Israeli real estate investment company BSR Europe gave 36 million euros ($51.92 million) to buy 42.5 percent in a planned housing complex, the company told Israeli media Globe (Dnevnik, Pari, Duma).
