ISTANBUL, Nov 5 (Reuters) - Turkcell (TCELL.IS) (TKC.N), Turkey's biggest mobile phone operator, on Thursday said it would postpone the release of its third-quarter financial results until Nov. 12.

Turkcell said in a filing it was unable to prepare its income statement in time because of "technical reasons."

It is expected to post a 42 percent fall in net profit to $353 million lira on sales of $1.59 billion, according to a Reuters poll of 13 analysts. Turkcell is the only Turkish company listed on the New York Stock Exchange. (Writing by Ayla Jean Yackley; Editing by Erica Billingham)
