BRUSSELS, Nov 17 (Reuters) - Belgium's dominant telecom operator Belgacom (BCOM.BR) said Monday it sold the Hong Kong and Chinese arms of its IT services unit Telindus to Easynet Global Services, part of British pay-TV firm BSkyB (BSY.L). Both the Telindus and Easynet groups provide information technology services to companies and government organisations.

"This acquisition helps strengthen our footprint in Asia Pacific," said Easynet's Chief Executive Officer David Rowe in a statement.

Telindus CEO Michel De Coster added in the joint statement that Easynet will remain a preferred partner of Telindus for serving customers in that region.

Belgacom declined to say how much the deal is worth. (Reporting by Anne Jolis; editing Mark John)
