LISBON, June 30 (Reuters) - Portugal's Zon Multimedia (ZON.LS) is considering launching pay television services in Angola in a project with the daughter of the country's president.

"The project is still in a preliminary study stage and is dependent on the necessary approval by the appropriate Angola authorities," Zon said in a statement.

It gave no further details other than to say the project would be aimed at providing pay television services. The project would be launched in partnership with a company controlled by Isabel dos Santos, the daughter of Angola President Jose Eduardo dos Santos.

Many Portuguese companies are investing in Angola, one of Africa's biggest oil producers and a former Portuguese colony which has had one of Africa's fastest growth rates since the end of a long civil war. (Reporting by Axel Bugge; Editing by David Cowell)
