FACTBOX: Earthquake aid for China

(Reuters) - The deadliest earthquake to hit China in three decades has killed some 20,000 people and the government says the toll could rise to over 50,000 as tens of thousands more remain buried under debris three days after the Monday tremor.

Here is a rough list of aid pledges for quake victims in the southwestern province of Sichuan from donors around the world:

CHINA:

- Hong Kong: HK$300 million ($38 million) from the government. HK$30 million from the Hong Kong Jockey Club.

- Macau: 100 million yuan ($14.3 million) from the government and 10 million yuan from the Macau Foundation.

- Mainland China: 1.34 billion yuan donated by the Chinese public as of Thursday.

- The country's most popular sportsman and Houston Rockets centre Yao Ming gave $214,000 and half a million yuan to the Red Cross Society of China.

COUNTRIES AND REGIONS:

- Taiwan: T$2 billion ($65 million) from the outgoing Democratic Progressive Party government.  Continued...
